Welcome to georgehummel.com and thanks for stopping by!
Take a minute to check out some music, browse a few photos, shop for CDs or visit some of my friends' links.
My most recent CD collaboration with vocalist Beverly Cosham (How Do You Keep the Music Playing?) can be sampled in the music clips or purchased at CDBaby.com.
The liner notes for that CD can be read by clicking on "CD Notes".
The "Photos" page has a section of some recent favorites that I've taken here and there.
The Hummel Family Band has both photos and sound clips: my grandfather, Ray Hummel, formed a family band with all his children around 1929 or 1930. My Dad, Bill Hummel, played trumpet and in later
years became the leader of the group. The two songs included were probably recorded around 1949.
George Hummel: News
The Hot Mikado track in the Music section comes from the London cast recording (now out of print).
I added horn parts to Rob Bowman's arrangements in this jazzy remake of a Gilbert and Sullivan classic.
